Star Kids Academy's After School Courses
Star Kids Academy offers a variety of 'Extended Care' classes that give students a unique experience in learning through hands on activities and course curriculum that teaches relevant skills as well as providing a supportive platform for the creation process. Classes vary in subject matter from sport activities and maker space artistic engineering to modern board gaming, literature, and music depending on availability. Star Kids Academy not only uses a method and approach to learning that supports and encourages the creation process, but also provides students with the most current educational tools and resources available so that they can experience success within each course. The following after school courses are currently being offered:
This class offers an educational experience in coding and engineering. Projects vary between automobile engineering and autonomous driving, 3D printer and science laboratory liquid mover, animatronics, 4-6 axis robotic arms, autonomous vehicles, and more. Please check registration or inquire directly to learn more about what projects are being offered each semester. Students will engineer using Lego technics and code using the GUI scratch based software. Coding fundamentals as well as logic and consolidating to make more efficient code will be taught throughout the course.

Movie Creation TBA
This class is a fun and educational experience in the fundamentals and production of storytelling. Students will learn the basic structure of the ‘Hero’s Journey’, and most if not all characters in film and book follow a similar path of the Hero. Students will learn to film short skits, puppet story telling, recording foley (sound effects), story development and creation, character development and improvisation.
